Hinuma Waterbird and Wetland Center

Hinuma Waterbird and Wetland Center opened in 2024 as a hub for the Hinuma wetland registered under the Ramsar Convention in 2015. Ministry pages describe two sites: an exhibition facility in Ibaraki Town with a mini aquarium, hands-on learning, and a lookout deck, plus Suzunone Terrace observation building in Hokota for seasonal birdwatching. Hours run about 9:00–16:30 with Monday closures. Confirm which building you need before you go.
