Umi-Mori Art Museum

海の見える杜美術館

Umi-Mori Art Museum sits on a wooded hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea and is known for modern Japanese painting centered on Takeuchi Seiho, European perfume bottles, Qing Chinese prints, and premodern Japanese narrative scrolls. Official history says it opened in 1981 as Ojakuro Art Treasure Museum, was renamed in 2005, developed the Mori promenade, and resumed activity in March 2018 after seismic work.
