八幡平市松尾鉱山資料館

Located in Hachimantai City, the Matsuo Mine Museum was constructed in 1981 as a local history and folklore museum. Since April 2014, it has operated under its current name to preserve and exhibit materials related to the Matsuo Mine. Known as the "Paradise above the Clouds," the mine was once considered one of the largest sulfur mines in East Asia. The facility aims to convey the existence and significance of the mine to future generations.
