石川啄木記念館

Ishikawa Takuboku Memorial Museum in Shibutami honors one of modern Japan's representative tanka poets through collecting, preserving, and sharing related materials. Official pages record its 1970 opening, a 1986 rebuild inspired by the white Western-style house in his poetry for his birth centennial, and a 13 April 2025 relaunch as a complex with the Morioka Tamayama History and Folklore Museum. Chronological galleries present letters, notebooks, diaries, personal effects, photo panels, and film that follow his life and local roots.
