Ishigami Museum of Art

石神の丘美術館

Ishigami Museum of Art opened in July 1993 as the first outdoor sculpture museum in Iwate Prefecture. The facility underwent major renovations in July 2002 following the establishment of the nearby roadside station, Ishigami no Oka. The site includes a gallery for special exhibitions and a workshop where visitors can experience art through creation. A designated area on the slopes of Mount Ishigami features sculpture works and various plantings, including lavender, which are enjoyed throughout the seasons.
