Hamatombetsu Lake Kutcharo Waterfowl Observatory

Located in Hokkaido, the Hamatombetsu Lake Kutcharo Waterfowl Observatory was established to protect and conserve Lake Kutcharo, a site registered under the Ramsar Convention. The facility features three exhibition areas dedicated to waterfowl, animals, and wild birds. The waterfowl section displays taxidermy specimens of species such as swans that visit the lake. Additionally, multi-vision displays provide information on the behavior of various waterfowl observed in the local wetlands.
