Hiraizumi Cultural Heritage Center

Hiraizumi Cultural Heritage Center in Hiraizumi, Iwate, is a guidance facility that introduces Hiraizumi’s cultural heritage, including World Heritage assets, through panels and video. Visiting before nearby historic sites helps visitors understand local history. Admission is free. Hours are 9:00–17:00 from April 1 to October 31 and 9:00–16:30 from November 1 to March 31. It is closed for year-end holidays from December 29 to January 3. Group visits require advance reservation. Free VR scopes are available for loan by reservation from 9:00 to 16:00.
