Sankō Museum in Gifu City opened in 1988 to share art collected by successive presidents of Sanko Co., Ltd. Official pages highlight Western paintings such as Renoir and Chagall alongside Japanese painting, sculpture, ceramics, and crafts; the museum is also called the Sal Tree Pavilion for the sal trees blooming around June, and hosts concerts, lectures, and open exhibitions year-round.
