Located in Gifu Prefecture, Kinkazan Squirrel Village was established in 1965 as the first facility of its kind in Japan. The park features a population of Taiwan squirrels that were tamed and bred over many years. These squirrels live within a large fenced area near the summit station where visitors can observe them in a natural environment.
