Gifu Castle is located in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. The current castle structure was reconstructed in 1956. Due to renovation work, the main keep and museum are currently closed to the public. This period of construction is scheduled to continue until October 2027, with a planned renewal opening in November 2027. During this time, the site remains visible from outside, though scaffolding may partially obscure the view of the castle's exterior.
