Akita Dog Visitor Center welcomes guests to the hometown of the Akita Inu at Onaricho 1-13-1 in Odate, Akita Prefecture. Official pages list facility hours from 9:00 to 17:00, with year-end closure on December 31 and January 1. The Akita Dog exhibition room runs roughly 9:30 to 16:45, and dogs rest on Mondays so viewing may be unavailable that day.
