Tanabata Museum at Kanezaki’s Sasakama Hall is described as Japan’s first permanent exhibition of Tanabata decorations. Official pages note that the famous Sendai Tanabata Festival lasts only three days each August (6–8), so the museum was created beside the shop to share the festival’s appeal year-round for visitors anytime they come to Sendai.
