Located in Higashi Ward, Hiroshima City, Onaga Tenmangū is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity of learning, Sugawara no Michizane. The grounds are described as nature-rich and contain the source of the Tenjin River, which provided the name for the nearby Tenjin River Station. Visitors can find various features on the premises, including a stone where the deity is said to rest and traditional guardian statues.
