Located in the center of Hiroshima City, Shukkei-en is a garden featuring seasonal nature set against a modern cityscape. The garden was established in 1673 as a villa garden for the lord of the Hiroshima Domain, Asano Nagasada, and was designed by Ueda Muneyori, who was known as a tea master.
