Matsushima

松島

Matsushima is a bay in Miyagi Prefecture celebrated as one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views. More than 260 pine-covered islands are scattered across the calm waters, creating a landscape that changes with the light, weather, and seasons. The scenery can be viewed from the shoreline, nearby temples, elevated viewpoints, and sightseeing boats.
