瑞鳳殿

Zuihoden is the mausoleum of Date Masamune, founder of the Sendai Domain, in a wooded area of Sendai. The richly decorated building was completed in 1637, destroyed during World War II, and later reconstructed. The precinct also contains mausoleums and graves connected with later generations of the Date family, making it an important site for understanding the domain’s history.
