Tohoku Gakuin University Museum stands beside the Tsuchitoi campus on Atago-Uesugi Street in central Sendai. Official pages say it collects, preserves, exhibits, and disseminates academically valuable materials from the university’s teaching and research, opened on 17 November 2009, and has also joined regional efforts to rescue museums and cultural properties damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake.
