The Ice Aquarium (Ice Museum) at Kesennuma’s Umi no Ichi reopened after closing due to Great East Japan Earthquake damage. Official pages thank prefectural, city, and volunteer support that made reopening possible about six years later, and highlight ice sculptures by pioneer sculptor Mitsuo Shimizu along with projection mapping and mural art themed around fish frozen in ice.
