シャークミュージアム

Shark Museum at Kesennuma Umino-ichi in Miyagi Prefecture presents Kesennuma as a shark town handling more than 80 percent of Japan's domestic shark landings. The facility reopened in 2024 with collaborative displays linked to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, adding Shark Theater, shark trivia, and a Churaumi shark-researcher outpost room alongside existing shark exhibits. Admission is 600 yen for junior-high students and adults and 300 yen for elementary pupils. Hours are 9:00-17:00 with last entry at 16:00. A combined ticket with the adjacent Ice Aquarium is also offered.
