Located in Ueno Park in Taito City, Tokyo, Ueno Tōshō-gū is a Shinto shrine established in 1627. The shrine enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu. It features early Edo period structures, such as the Kinshokuden, which are designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan for having survived wars and earthquakes.
