The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is located in Tokyo and opened in 1926 as Japan's first public art museum. It was established through a donation from businessman Keitaro Sato, who is known as the founder of the institution. The museum participates in the Museum Start program at Ueno Park, collaborating with other cultural facilities to create an environment where children and adults can learn together.
