Esan Prefectural Natural Park

恵山道立自然公園

Located on the southeastern coast of the Oshima Peninsula in Hokkaido, Esan Prefectural Natural Park features diverse landscapes including the bell-shaped volcano Esan and Yokozudake peak. The park is characterized by alpine plant communities, sea-eroded cliffs, and unique rock formations shaped by waves from the Pacific Ocean and Tsugaru Strait. Different terrains such as volcanic areas, coasts, and valleys each contain hot spring locations for various uses including recreation, nature exploration, and mountain climbing.
