Man'yō Botanical Garden (Nara)

萬葉植物園

Located in Nara, Manyo Botanical Garden is recognized as the oldest botanical garden of its kind in Japan. Established in 1932 with a grant from Emperor Showa, the site features approximately 300 types of plants mentioned in the Manyoshu. The grounds span about three hectares and are divided into sections including Manyoen, Gokoku no Sato, Tsubakien, and Fuji noen.
