Located in Nara Prefecture, Monju-in Nishi Kofun is a historic site constructed during the Asuka period. It is designated as a Special Historic Site by the national government. The interior remains preserved from the year 645 and features symmetrical stonework made from high-quality granite. A notable feature of the inner chamber is its ceiling rock, which consists of a single stone measuring 15 square meters with an arched center.
