The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo opened in March 1995 to promote contemporary art and enhance the foundation of arts and culture. The museum features exhibitions covering painting, sculpture, fashion, architecture, and design. It houses a collection of approximately 6,100 works and includes an art library with around 280,000 related books for information and educational purposes.
