木場公園

Kiba Park in Koto is a large water-and-green forest park on the site of Tokyo’s historic timber district. Official park history notes that after wood-related businesses moved to Shin-Kiba, the area was redeveloped as a disaster-prevention green space and later designated a commemorative park; it opened in 1992 across south, central, and north sections linked by bridges. Entry is free and the park is open at all times, while facilities such as the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, barbecue areas, tennis courts, and Midorium keep their own hours. It is a practical base for a half-day outdoor walk between subway stations around Kiba and Kiyosumi-Shirakawa.
