Goshono Jōmon Museum

御所野縄文博物館

Located in Iwate Prefecture, the Goshono Jōmon Museum features exhibits on Jōmon period life and archaeological sites. The first exhibition room displays a burnt residence from approximately 4,000 years ago under glass flooring along with pottery and reconstructed pit dwellings. Other areas use projection mapping to recreate village scenes and showcase cultural properties from local sites like the Makumae and Yamai sites.
