Shinano Kokubunji Museum at Kokubu 1125, Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture (postal code 386-0016), telephone 0268-27-8706, opened in July 1980 after excavations of the Shinano provincial temple site. Official pages list hours from 9:00 to 17:00 with last entry at 16:30, closed Wednesdays and the day after national holidays (with an extra closed day when the holiday falls on Wednesday), and from 29 December to 3 January. Admission is 250 yen for adults, 180 yen for high-school students and older, and 60 yen for elementary and junior-high students. Confirm temporary closures before travel.
