Takayama City Archives Museum

高山市政記念館

The Takayama City Archives Museum was completed in 1895 as the Takayama Town Hall, constructed by master craftsman Sakashita Jinkichi. After serving as a community center, it was renovated and opened as the current museum in 1986. The facility showcases the history of the Takayama region from the Meiji era until mergers occurred, including the birth of the new Takayama City in 2005. It underwent a renewal opening in April 2023.
