Shiroyama Park

城山公園

Located east of the Takayama city area, Shiroyama Park is a hilly site at an altitude of 687.6 meters. It is the largest park in Takayama City and covers an area of 24.63 hectares. The site was used to construct Takayama Castle during the Sengoku period before being dismantled by order of the shogunate in 1695. The grounds currently feature walking paths and the Ninomaru playground.
