Shibetsu Salmon Science Museum

Located in Shibetsu, a town known for its high volume of salmon catches in Hokkaido, the Shibetsu Salmon Science Museum functions as an aquarium for salmon. The facility displays various species of the salmon family and other fish found in the waters surrounding Shibetsu. It also provides information regarding the Japanese Heritage site titled The Story of the Holy Land of Salmon: A Ten Thousand Year Journey of the Nemuro Strait.
