Located in Kagoshima, Shōko Shūseikan is a museum that presents the 800-year history of the Shimazu family. The facility is part of the Old Shuseikan area, which is registered as a World Heritage site under the Monuments of Japan's Industrial Revolution in the Meiji Era. This area originally served as Japan's first group of factories and was a central stage for modernization projects promoted by the Satsuma Domain.
