Tenjin Shrine

天神神社 (岐阜市柳津町)

Located in Gifu Prefecture, Tenjin Shrine is also known as Yanizu Tenjin or Yanitsu Tenjin. The main deity of the shrine is Sugawara no Michizane. The site was established by a man named Moto-mura Jirozaemon, who became a follower of the warrior clan and moved to this area. The shrine's history involves several sacred statues carved from rare wood that were later separated during floods.
