Katsusaka Site

勝坂遺跡

Located in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, the Katsusaka Site is a settlement site from the middle Jomon period. Excavations since the Taisho era identified four locations where remains and artifacts are concentrated, indicating a stable settlement over a long period. The excavated pottery is known as Katsusaka-style, considered a standard type for the middle Jomon period in the Chubu and Kanto regions.
