息栖神社

Ikisu Shrine is presented with Kashima Jingu and Katori Jingu as one of the three great eastern shrines of Japan. Official history pages note that pilgrims from northern Kanto once visited these three after Ise as a purification circuit, and describe a riverside precinct with pastoral waterside scenery. Annual rites such as New Year, White Horse, and the April grand festival are listed. Confirm prayer and award-desk hours before you go.
