Suigō Sawara Festival Float Museum

水郷佐原山車会館

Located in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, the Suigō Sawara Festival Float Museum displays two large festival floats constructed from Japanese keyaki wood. These floats feature high-value decorations, including carvings from the late Edo period to the Meiji era and large dolls crafted by master doll makers. The museum also features a panoramic screen showing footage of the grand festival and exhibits a large head of a puppet made 270 years ago.
