かちどき 橋の資料館

Located in Tokyo, Kachidoki hashi no shiryōkan is a museum housed in a renovated substation once used to operate the Kachidoki Bridge. The bridge was constructed using advanced technology and was intended to serve as a main gate for a planned World Expo. Originally one of the largest bascule bridges in East Asia with an opening center, it ceased opening in 1970 due to changes in river traffic and increased road volume.
