Located in Tokyo, Namiyoke Inari Shrine is associated with a legend involving the reclamation of land near the Tsukiji sea surface following the Great Fire of Meireki. According to local history, construction was hindered by heavy waves until an object emitting light was discovered on the water, which was identified as a sacred body of Inari Okami. Since 1659, the shrine has been associated with prayers for protection against disasters and success in business.
