上富良野町開拓記念館

Located in Hokkaido, the Kamifurano Pioneer Memorial was constructed in 1997 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of local settlement by a group from Mie Prefecture. The building is a reconstructed residence of former village mayor Yoshida Tejiro, who worked on recovery efforts following a mudflow caused by an eruption in 1940. The museum displays materials regarding the eruption, records of the pioneer Tanaka Kojiro, and a chronological timeline of the area's history.
