Mitsuhiro Unno Memorial Museum of Woodcut Art in Shimada’s Histopia complex presents the prints of Unno Mitsuhiro (1939–1978), who won a Swiss art prize in 1977 before dying at thirty-nine. Official city pages note that his widow donated the collection in 1999, the memorial opened in 2000 with a calm white-and-timber courtyard setting, and rotating collection shows highlight daily life, landscapes, and woodblocks.
