Kyu Sakamoto Memorial Hall in Kuriyama honors the singer known worldwide for the hit often called Sukiyaki overseas. Official town pages recall that his final Sunday Kyu welfare-program taping visited today's Hello ENJOY site; after the accident ended the series, community support built this memorial. Visitors see program panels from his lifetime, can purchase CDs and crafts, and experience a building designed around the number nine, open 10:00-16:00 year-round except Mondays and year-end holidays.
