Located in Iwate Prefecture, the Tanohata Memorial Museum houses materials regarding the Sanpei Ikki, which is considered one of the largest movements of its kind in Japan. The museum also displays Jomon period clay figures excavated from local sites. The interior features a reconstructed traditional house and a ceiling monument combining the path of the movement with the Sanriku coastline.
