Kimura Hisashi Memorial Museum

木村榮記念館

Located in Iwate Prefecture, the Kimura Hisashi Memorial Museum is housed in a former latitude observatory that operated from 1899 to 1988. The site was designated as a Japanese Astronomy Heritage in 2024. The museum displays historical records and materials related to international latitude observation projects and the history of the local observatory.
