Yamaga Lantern Folk Art Museum exhibits masterworks of Yamaga chochin, paper lanterns offered for centuries to Omiya Shrine and refined since the Muromachi period into shrine, castle, and room-style pieces including the famous golden lantern of the thousand-dancer festival. Official pages also note craft demonstrations by lantern makers, Ichiro Tsuruta festival-poster originals, an Edo-period twin-dragon ceiling painting, and the 1925 former bank building registered as a national tangible cultural property.
