Nanmei Museum of Art (Makurazaki City Cultural Resource Center) sits in Katahirayama Park on a hill overlooking the East China Sea, in a wooden building shaped like a ship’s anchor. Official pages currently promote the special exhibition “Kukki! Otome-ten in Makurazaki” (26 July–30 August 2026, open daily; adults 1,000 yen) and describe outdoor performance plazas with sea-themed seating.
