Located in Kagoshima City, the Kagoshima Nanatsujima Solar Science Museum opened as a base for promoting renewable energy and awareness regarding global warming. The museum provides easy-to-understand explanations on solar cells and environmental issues alongside information about the nearby power plant. This facility was established concurrently with the start of operations at the Kagoshima Nanatsujima Mega Solar Power Plant in November 2013.
