Located on a plateau along the Niida River in the southeastern part of Hachinohe City, Korekawa Site is a Jomon period archaeological site. Designated as a national historic site in 1957, it covers approximately 376,000 square meters. The site encompasses three distinct areas: the Nakai site, associated with the Kamegaoka culture of the late Jomon period; the Ichoji site from the early and middle periods; and the Hotta site from the middle period.
