Asaka History Museum

Asaka History Museum in Koriyama, Fukushima, occupies the former Fukushima Prefectural Ordinary Middle School main building, designated a national Important Cultural Property in June Showa 52 (1977) as Meiji-era Western-style architecture. Official notices say the museum has been closed for a long-term period since 2 October 2023 after earthquake damage, and the front garden is closed for construction. Normal museum visits are unavailable during this long-term closure; limited reservation-only repair-site tours are announced separately.
