Kinowanosaku

城輪柵

Located in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, Kinowanosaku is a vast historic site covering approximately 52 hectares with sides of about 720 meters. It is believed to be the site of a government office from the Heian period. The site was designated as a national historic site and currently functions as a history park where parts of the south gate, east gate, and Tsukiji wall have been reconstructed.
