Kameoka Museum of Culture

Opened in 1985, the Kameoka Museum of Culture is a facility dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural assets of Kameoka City. The museum collects and stores materials related to local history and culture while sharing research results through exhibitions. Its permanent collection uses actual artifacts to introduce various historical periods, including the Jomon, Yayoi, Kofun, Nara, Heian, Kamakura, Muromachi, Azuchi-Momoyama, Edo, Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras.
